The caterpillar room at the YMCA CDC has our youngest age group.  They are 18-24 months old in  August, the beginning of our year.  We offer a safe environment for these toddlers to learn and grow, and experience the wonders of their expanding world. We concentrate on basic social skills and emotional development, such as sharing, respecting each other, kindness, manners.  We also encourage basic motor skills with a variety of activities.  In this class, we explore basic science, math, and creative arts through everyday tasks.  Of course, language development through reading and storytelling is a part of our daily routine.
