Hello! My name is Kelci Wood. I am the assistant teacher in the Grasshopper Room! I have my Bachelor’s Degree in music and German education from UNK, where I graduated in 2011. My husband, Tony, and I have been married since 2011. Our friends affectionately call us gypsies because we like to move around a lot. We have lived in Alliance, NE, then moved out to Utah in 2013. We lived in Salt Lake City, Utah until 2018, where I was teaching 2nd grade at a charter school there. I received my Master’s Degree from WGU in 2018. We moved back to Nebraska in 2018 to be closer to family. After that, we lived in Bennington, Norfolk and most recently Bartlett.
We returned to Kearney for my husband to finish school at UNK in communication disorders. In the time, when I am not working or studying (I am getting another Master’s Degree), you can find me at football games in the fall or hockey in the winter. I have to resort to watching my favorite soccer team, Real Salt Lake, on TV. I love spending time outside and being around family. My husband and I teach Sunday School at our church together. I have an unhealthy obsession for BRAND NEW school supplies, Gilmore Girls and Diet Coke.
