Jr. Loper Basketball

Jr. Loper Basketball

YMCA Jr. Loper Basketball focuses on teaching fundamentals, sportsmanship and teamwork through practices and games. We
emphasize a “kid’s first” motto, which means the best interest of the children is put ahead of wins and losses. Players will receive
equal practice time and play at least 1/2 of every game. As part of a team, everyone contributes to the team’s success. At the Y,
we believe that kids who enjoy playing sports build a lifetime love for the game, while developing healthy habits and positive lifelong
core values (caring, honesty, respect and responsibility).

About the Program

Teams will be formed by Y staff based on grade and school attended.

6-7th grade division will have a skills assessment to help determine team placement

YMCA Jr. Loper Basketball is proud to join and be a part of the Jr. NBA & USA BASKETBALL, the official youth basketball participation program of the NBA! We will implement recommended youth guidelines when possible.
