More than a Job
We invite you to explore our current opportunities and learn more about what it means to be a team member at the YMCA of Greater Charlotte. Join us in this amazing work — to develop your skills, realize your leadership potential and discover a career that’s so much more than a job!
Exceptional Team Members Drive Our Mission
Our work environment is filled with passionate dreamers, thinkers and doers. At the Y, everyone is a leader. Whether a camp counselor, marketing manager or fitness instructor, we all share a common goal to serve and make our community better. Our inclusive culture is as diverse as the communities we serve, and we celebrate the uniqueness of every individual.
Encouraging Life at Work
Many organizations talk about promoting a work-life balance. At the Y, we believe life doesn’t have to begin when work ends. We inspire your life at work. Our free Y memberships encourage health and wellness for our team members and their entire households. And we promote volunteer opportunities, such as allowing our employees to leave work and read to 6-year-olds with Y-Readers, lead arts and crafts at day camp, or teach kids about safety around water. Our culture feels like a large, extended family that genuinely cares for the well-being of one another.
Diversity and Inclusion
Access and Belonging for All
The Y is made up of people of all ages and from every walk of life working side by side to strengthen communities. We practice inclusion by valuing the diversity of all people within our organization, and in those we serve. We celebrate the uniqueness of every individual. Our diverse team members thrive in a culture where they’re encouraged and supported to reach their full potential.
Our Diversity Makes Us Strong
The Y welcomes independent thinkers from a variety of backgrounds who can work together collaboratively with a focus on multiplying our mission. We know different strengths and perspectives encourage creativity and challenge us to create better experiences for our members and our community.
We Believe in Equal Opportunity
We provide equal opportunity in employment to all team members and applicants for employment regardless of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, status with regard to public assistance, membership or activity in a local commission, disability, age, or other legally protected status
